We provide high-quality, reliable and affordable childcare for children aged 0 to 13 in the Gooise Meren region (Bussum, Naarden, Muiden and Muiderberg). As a non-profit organisation, our mission is to support every child’s development in a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment. Through play, discovery and learning, children are encouraged to grow into confident and curious individuals.
Who are we?
At SKBNM, our mission is to prepare children for tomorrow’s world through play. As a professional childcare organisation, we know what it means to grow up and what children need along the way. We stimulate children to play together, explore their boundaries, and develop flexibility and resilience. This helps them grow up in a healthy and balanced way, and later find their place in society.
The key to this is always putting the child first. Sometimes that means making bold or unconventional choices — when practice calls for it. It also means being truly involved, not only with children, but also with their parents and with one another as colleagues. Collaboration plays a vital role in our work. We enjoy working with the municipality, schools, and other educational and welfare partners in the Gooise Meren region. Together, we help lay a strong foundation for every child’s future.
Founded in 1983, we now operate more than 35 locations and care for over 3,000 children daily. Our dedicated team of 300+ professionals works with passion, expertise and attention to each child’s wellbeing and development.
What do we do?
Our Childcare Services:

Daycare (0–4 years): Our daycare locations offer full-day care. Children receive loving attention, plenty of play opportunities and warm, healthy and organic meals for lunch.

Toddler Playgroups (2–4 years): Our playgroups prepare children for primary school by fostering their social, emotional and cognitive development in a playful setting.

After-School Care (4–13 years): After school we pick up the children from school by bus or by foot. At our After-School Care locations we offer a wide range of activities such as sports, crafts, cooking and a lot of outdoor play. We have a few locations that are specialized in Sports and are situated in a sports cantine.
How do we do this?
We are succesful in preparing children for tomorrow, because we have a strong pedagogical foundation. All our colleagues know our pedagogical policy and how to apply it. This policy is built around four key principles:

We offer a warm, positive atmosphere and a safe foundation — a place that feels like home. A space where children can be themselves, where they feel seen, and where they can grow in a natural and enjoyable way. - Care for One Another
Children learn from each other — by watching and copying. We support them in this process. We give them information, join in their play, and create situations where they can practise. This helps them express their feelings and get better at making friends. - Confident to Explore the World
See for yourself, do it yourself, experience it yourself — that’s how children learn to understand the world around them. We give them the freedom to explore, spark their curiosity, enrich their play, and offer exciting materials and challenging activities. - Everyone Matters
Who are you? Where do you come from? And what feels normal to you? We teach children to look at others with an open mind — to understand, respect and value differences. In this way, we help prepare them for a diverse society.
